Casio Men’s PAW1300-1V Pathfinder Multi-Band Solar Atomic Black Watch Review
Overall, a great watch. Apart from being solar-powered and syncing to the atomic clock, this watch has a number of cool features. The case is quite slim relative to other atomic watches I have owned, and the band is very comfortable. The watch can be easily worn under long sleeves.
The barometer display on the “home” screen of the watch is a nice feature – very useful for predicting whether the weather will be improving or degrading in the next day or so. The altimeter is less useful for me, but still a nice feature when I go hiking. The compass seems fairly accurate, and can be corrected for declination. As other reviewers have noted, the temperature sensor is affected by body heat, so the watch needs to be away from your body in ambient conditions for a few minutes prior to taking a temperature reading.
The only feature of the watch I don’t like is that the alarm volume seems very low (probably to conserve power). Not a big deal once I got used to it, though.
I’m very satisfied with this watch – it’s a nice upgrade from my previous solar/atomic Casio.
