First impression of the watch was that it was very well made. One thing I wish was different was having the controls placed on the left side. This is a big watch so they will dig into the top of your hand if you are like me and wear it on the left hand. If you wear it on the right hand, this isn’t an issue. After wearing it for a few days, I did not seem to have this issue and the watch became very comfortable. We’ll see how long the battery lasts and if it holds up over the next few months.

You will have to unscrew the middle knob first before pulling on it to change the date or time. Don’t go pulling on it and wonder why it won’t come out.

Overall this is a great watch. It looks so much better than the pictures online. You will not be disappointed.

It took me over a year to find a watch and this was the one I decided on. I’m glad I did.

What a nice watch. I’ve been looking for a watch since my Tissot was having trouble. My wife decided to get me this watch from a local Dept Store with a coupon. When I looked on Amazon, it was cheaper but not enough to return the original. The very next day, Amazon’s price took a drop and I ordered it. We saved over 0. It’s not the same box, but it looks much nicer than the one we returned (must have been the display model). I’m a little worried with the warranty, but have read that Amazon’s is decent. It is a little big but looks very good in a woman wrist, very feminine. The mother of pearl face is a very beatiful detail, it reflects the light with different light colors that povides a very nice visual effect. The heart in the face is great. About the “Flame Fusion Crystal” I’ve seen that many people doesn’t know about this, I have to tell that this is a very successful method of manufacturing synthetic gemstones on a lab, also called “Verneuil process”. I say “successful” because it has been proved that Crystals produced by the Verneuil process are chemically and physically equivalent to their naturally occurring counterparts, and strong magnification is usually required to distinguish between the two. It is primarily used to produce the ruby and sapphire varieties, as well as the diamond simulants. So, for me, we can trust that the flame fusion crystals are as resistent as the sapphire ones.

I was recently on a caribbean cruise and became aware of Tissot watches because they were sold on the ship (Norwegian Epic). After looking at hundreds of watches from a dozen or more producers I came to the conclusion that this was a great brand for me – a well made but reasonably priced alternative to Tags, Omegas and similarly expensive watches. However, I didn’t pull the trigger because I was unsure of the price, but I was really torn because of the beauty of this watch. Well, lo and behold the research I did when I got home showed that this was, in fact, a great watch and it WAS a great price on the ship. I was lucky to find it at a similar price at Amazon so I bought it.

I could not be happier. The weight of this watch is perfect. It’s hefty but not too heavy. You feel it enough to know it’s there, but it never comes across as being to heavy. The first thing you’ll notice is the bright polished stainless steel case and band, and the gorgeous dark blue watch face. This watch is much more beautiful in person that in any pic you’ll see of it. The face is the perfect size for my large hand and wrist. I’m not a fan of the popular huge watches that I see more of, but this watch isn’t small either. Again, it’s hefty and solid.

The only thing that makes me mad is that I received the watch loose in the Tissot box. It was not mounted on the “pillow” inside, plus the warranty card and storage bag were missing. Clearly someone at Amazon took these items and didn’t even bother to put the watch back correctly. No harm to the watch, but irritating to say the least. I’d also like my dang carry bag, Amazon. There’s no good reason for you to take this.

So I give the watch a 5 across the board, but I’m deducting one star just because of the packaging and the theft of my warranty and bag (shame on you guys)

I have been looking at this watch for quite sometimes now. I was having difficulity deciding between the Automatic and Quartz versions. The advantage of this one is that I do not need to replace the battery every 1-2 years. Amazon seems to be out of stock for this one for quite sometimes now and I do not trust the third party sellers since buying from the internet void the Omega warranty.
I went to a local jeweler one day and it happens that they are having a sale. The local jeweler can be found as an authorized dealer on Omega and fully cover by the Omega warranty. I decided to bite the bullet and bought it. I am glad I did. Here are a few thought on the watch.

- The watch is very solid and robust
- The watch seem a little bit heavier then my previous watches
- The watch is very accurate so far. only 1 -2 sec runs faster then the atomic clock every day.
- The color and style stands out and it can be wear on any occasion. causal/dress suite
- This same exact watch worn by James Bond in Casino Royale when he was playig poker at the casino ( the beginning of the movie he was wearing the Seamaster Planet Ocean with rubber strap)
- According to omega you only need to service it every 4- 5 years for normal use.
- Bracelet has a quick extension feature to accomodate diver wetsuit.

a few things to keep in mind – note these are not negative thoughts

-Like any automatic watch it will not be always accurate. Many owners on the Internet have reported their Seamasters often far exceed COSC standards in daily use. Be prepare to adjust the time every now and then. In reality we have the adjust twice a year for day light saving time anyway. I do not mind at all
- May need to manually wind it if you dont wear it for long period of time. I recommend buying a watch winder for people who wear the watch occasionally.
- the helium relief vaulve is useless in my opinion even with the any form of normal suba diving. but it is a unique feature to the watch so I dont mind.
- may be expensive to service the watch and may require sending it to authorized omega repair center.

Over all this is an excellent watch. I would highly recommend this watch to anyone who is looking for a watch in this price range

I have not had this watch very long, but have been impressed with it so far.

It has no problem locking on to the signal from the atomic clock at Fort Collins even though I am in the eastern mountain range. So far it has locked on every night first try even with me wearing it which is a good thing since I tend to wear my watches 24/7.

Some reviewers talked about buttons that where hard or impossible to push, but that has not been my experience. Yea they may be a little harder to push than some watches, but remain very usable!

The solar cell is keeping the watch charged at the high level of charge even with use of the alarm and light.

I guess the only negative I could say about this watch is that the keeper for the band slides around somewhat allowing the end of the to pop free on occasion.
